About the Fortune Theatre

With newly refurbished seats and carpets, the beautiful Art-Deco auditorium, decorated in green, gold and sky grey colours, creates a uniquely intimate performance space, perfect for lectures, conferences, workshops and showcases. The resident production’s set can be cleared in order to create a largely empty stage (although please note that the stage is raked). Unusually, direct access to the underneath of the stage, and sub-stage dressing room areas, can be obtained via a staircase downstage right, facilitating easy entrances and exits. The Fortune’s auditorium is a popular choice for showcases, whilst the theatre’s beautifully decorative safety curtain provides the perfect back-drop for photo-shoots.

The beautiful foyer area, decorated in a similar Art Deco design to the Savoy Theatre, with marble and gilt features, and a distinctive copper-faced box office, creates a stunning entrance to the venue for any event.

The Stalls Bar

Decorated in the same grand colours as the auditorium, and recently refurbished to reveal its original marble features, the Stalls Bar, the largest bar in the theatre, is the ideal place for standing canapé and drinks receptions. The space has air conditioning, and a kiosk, which can be used by the hirer as a separate point of sale, as a cloakroom, or for displays.
