|> About the Savoy Theatre|
The Savoy auditorium is a beautifully unique space. Both stylish and functional, the Savoy Theatre has now been the home of the British Fashion Awards for the past three years and is frequently used for gala performances and high-profile charity events. With a ceiling painted to resemble a clear blue sky and the walls leafed in silver, the Savoy auditorium is guaranteed to charm and impress.
Accessed from the famous Savoy Courtyard, the Foyer makes a beautiful entrance to the theatre for any event. The ornate space is decorated in the Art Deco style, with granite, black and white flooring, gilt details and mirrored walls. Fronted by several sets of large glass doors, the room is flooded with natural daylight, making it an ideal location for photo-shoots. Please note that the Box Office shares this space, and so a cordoned area must be accessible to the public during the week. It can however be hired exclusively on Sundays.
Royal Retiring Room
An unforgettable destination, this truly unique space, decorated with 1920’s silk wallpaper and fittings and equipped with its own toilet and fridge, is a wonderfully luxurious room for intimate events and one to one meetings.
Decorated in warm orange colour schemes, the Stalls Bar provides another excellent private space for those hiring the main auditorium, and can accommodate seated formal meetings. It feeds round into the stalls which also works perfectly for lunches and receptions.
This sizeable bar, decorated in the same warm colours as the Stalls Bar, is an excellent space for work-shops and break-out groups. Please note that whilst this space can be cordoned off, a staircase in the vicinity means that we cannot guarantee absolute privacy.
Located at the bottom of the main foyer steps, and decorated in the same eye-catching silvers as the auditorium and Grand Circle Bar, the dress circle bar provides an additional workshop and breakout space for auditorium hires. Please note that this space is not entirely private.
A reminder of the theatre’s links to Gilbert and Sullivan, the Grand Circle Bar is home to the Mikado Statue. Decorated in the same silver colour colours as the auditorium and Dress bar, this airy and spacious bar, with an adjoining area, ideal for smaller break-out sessions, is an excellent space for larger meetings. The bar has its own toilet, and is accessed from a separate street level entrance.
The original entrance to the theatre, this grand space makes a superb destination for any event. The beautiful decor, with numerous statues, art-work and opulent black and white granite flooring, all make for a real talking point. This space is ideal for standing receptions.
